Using uninvoice.app
This section walks through uninvoice.app as a product, then one screen at a time. The app is built around one idea: keep the records that matter for a small business close together, so invoices, expenses, tax reporting, PDFs, and integrations all read from the same source.
The shape of the app
Everything belongs to a company: your business. Inside it you keep:
- Dashboard: the current picture of revenue, expenses, net result, invoice status, customers, and plan balance.
- Customers and suppliers: the people and businesses you invoice or buy from, stored once and reused everywhere.
- Invoices: the documents you issue, with a legal record behind them.
- Proformas: estimates you send before there is anything to invoice.
- Expenses: what your business spends, with receipts attached.
- Bank accounts: where you get paid, and what the balance was on a given day.
- Reports: generated PDFs for business overview, VAT, profit and loss, client revenue, and expenses and suppliers.
The remaining pages are settings: your company (billing details, invoice defaults, templates, API keys), your plan, and your account.
Two cross-cutting areas sit on top of those screens:
- API and MCP let other software and AI agents work with the same company data.
- AI Audit holds AI-driven changes for human approval before they take effect.
For Spanish issuers, Veri*Factu is part of the invoice-issuing path rather than a separate export step.
A typical first hour
- Fill in your company details on the Company page: they appear on every invoice, so get them right before issuing anything.
- Add your first customer on the Entities page.
- Add a bank account if you want payment instructions printed on your invoices.
- Create a draft invoice, check it, and issue it.
- Record an expense so the dashboard and reports show both sides of the business.
- Download the invoice PDF, or request a report for the period you care about.
What is deliberately not here yet
The app does not currently track invoice payments, partial payments, due dates, or accounts-receivable ageing. It also does not connect to your bank or maintain a full accounting ledger. Those are roadmap areas, along with stock tracking and a compliance calendar. Until they ship, the docs avoid treating them as current workflows.
Nothing you create is final until you issue it. Drafts can be edited and deleted freely; issued invoices cannot, because they carry a legal record. See Invoices.
