# Using uninvoice.app

This section walks through uninvoice.app as a product, then one screen at a time. The app is built around one idea: keep the records that matter for a small business close together, so invoices, expenses, tax reporting, PDFs, and integrations all read from the same source.

## The shape of the app

Everything belongs to a **company**: your business. Inside it you keep:

- **[Dashboard](https://docs.uninvoice.app/guides/dashboard)**: the current picture of revenue, expenses, net result, invoice status, customers, and plan balance.
- **[Customers and suppliers](https://docs.uninvoice.app/guides/entities)**: the people and businesses you invoice or buy from, stored once and reused everywhere.
- **[Invoices](https://docs.uninvoice.app/guides/invoices)**: the documents you issue, with a legal record behind them.
- **[Proformas](https://docs.uninvoice.app/guides/proformas)**: estimates you send before there is anything to invoice.
- **[Expenses](https://docs.uninvoice.app/guides/expenses)**: what your business spends, with receipts attached.
- **[Bank accounts](https://docs.uninvoice.app/guides/bank-accounts)**: where you get paid, and what the balance was on a given day.
- **[Reports](https://docs.uninvoice.app/guides/reports)**: generated PDFs for business overview, VAT, profit and loss, client revenue, and expenses and suppliers.

The remaining pages are settings: **[your company](https://docs.uninvoice.app/guides/company)** (billing details, invoice defaults, templates, API keys), **[your plan](https://docs.uninvoice.app/guides/subscription)**, and **[your account](https://docs.uninvoice.app/guides/account)**.

Two cross-cutting areas sit on top of those screens:

- **[API and MCP](https://docs.uninvoice.app/api/overview)** let other software and AI agents work with the same company data.
- **[AI Audit](https://docs.uninvoice.app/api/ai-audit)** holds AI-driven changes for human approval before they take effect.

For companies incorporated in Spain and Spanish self-employed, **[Veri\*Factu](https://docs.uninvoice.app/verifactu/overview)** is part of the invoice-issuing path rather than a separate export step. Businesses established anywhere else do not use Veri\*Factu and get every other capability, free.

## A typical first hour

1. Fill in your company details on the **Company** page: they appear on every invoice, so get them right before issuing anything.
2. Add your first **customer** on the **Entities** page.
3. Add a bank account if you want payment instructions printed on your invoices.
4. Create a **draft invoice**, check it, and issue it.
5. Record an expense so the dashboard and reports show both sides of the business.
6. Download the invoice PDF, or request a report for the period you care about.

## What is deliberately not here yet

The app does not currently track invoice payments, partial payments, due dates, or accounts-receivable ageing. It also does not connect to your bank or maintain a full accounting ledger. Those are roadmap areas, along with stock tracking and a compliance calendar. Until they ship, the docs avoid treating them as current workflows.

Drafts are safe

Nothing you create is final until you **issue** it. Drafts can be edited and deleted freely; issued invoices cannot, because they carry a legal record. See [Invoices](https://docs.uninvoice.app/guides/invoices).
